Dinner on your Longshan Temple day
Choose a night market after Longshan Temple
Stay in Wanhua for dinner without another train ride, or compare Ningxia, Raohe and Shilin for an evening elsewhere in Taipei. Choose one area around your worship plans, luggage and energy.
Choose a particular shop or a market area
For a particular dish, check individual opening hours in our seven-shop food guide. To browse several stalls, use this page to compare market areas and travel. A shop on Huaxi Street does not necessarily keep the same hours as the night market around it.

This guide covers the temple neighborhood and Taipei city. The previously listed Fengjia (Taichung), Garden (Tainan), Ruifeng (Kaohsiung) and Miaokou (Keelung) markets have been removed from this dinner comparison, including their detailed listings, map pins and food table. Visiting them requires a separate itinerary allowing for travel to another city.
The temple and four market areas
T marks Longshan Temple; 1 is a reference location in the Wanhua market area. Pins are not surveyed entrances or measured walking routes. If the map does not load, use the route descriptions and external maps below.

Compare travel from the temple and listed hours
We prepared these transfer suggestions from the official metro map. They are not timed journeys or guaranteed fastest routes. Use the official planner for current train times, last services and fares, and the external maps for walking routes.

Wanhua: Huaxi, Guangzhou & Wuzhou streets
An option for dinner without another train journey after worship. These connecting streets are presented as a market area, rather than one market with shared hours.
- Consider it for (our suggestion)
- Keeping worship and dinner in the same neighborhood
- Suggested route from Longshan Temple
- From the temple, follow Guangzhou Street west toward Huaxi and Wuzhou streets. Check the walking route on the map; no rail transfer is needed.
- Hours in the sources
- Taipei Travel lists Huaxi and Guangzhou as 16:00–00:00. This does not establish hours for Wuzhou or individual shops.
For a particular meal, check the seven-shop food guide. A shop’s hours can differ from the surrounding night market.

Put the interpretation desk before dinner
Temple entry hours and the interpretation desk are separate. The temple’s official guide lists the desk as 10:00–19:00. Late market hours do not mean you can visit the market first and still return for a consultation.
Market hours do not apply to every stall
Listed hours come from tourism sources. Some shops operate in the daytime or close early. Confirm the business you want to visit; arriving at a particular time does not guarantee shorter queues.
Allow separately for travel and dinner
Think through: finish worship → walk to the station → trains and interchange → walk to the market → dinner → accommodation. Compare staying in Wanhua when time is limited. Interchange counts do not include station walks.
Cash, rain, luggage and the journey back
Bring small cash and check other payment methods with each stall. Consider leaving bulky luggage at your accommodation. Before setting out, check weather-related stall changes and trains for the journey back.
Night markets after worship: FAQ
Which option adds the least travel?
Huaxi, Guangzhou and Wuzhou streets in the temple neighborhood are options on foot. We have not surveyed entrances or timed walks. For a particular meal, check individual hours in the nearby food guide.
Will the stalls be open after morning worship?
The listed night market hours mainly start in the late afternoon or evening. For breakfast or lunch, check individual shops in the nearby food guide instead of assuming the whole market is open.
Is Raohe at Songshan Airport?
Songshan G19, the station used for the market, is different from Songshan Airport BR13. Do not plan market-to-airport travel as if they were the same station.
Is this a first-hand visit or tasting review?
This is a comparison based on official online sources, with our planning suggestions. We have not visited, tasted dishes or timed these journeys. Current prices, stock and the stalls operating on a given day are unverified.
