Getting to Longshan Temple

02 / Plan the rest of your arrival day
Plan worship around your arrival time
- Allow time for immigration, baggage collection, and reaching the station. Landing time is not the time you can begin your temple visit.
- Taipei tourism lists opening hours of 06:00–22:00 and last entry at 21:45. Check current temple announcements; visit the next day if closing is near.
- The official interpretation desk guide lists 10:00–19:00. Evening temple entry does not mean the desk will still be open.
- For your return flight, check train operating hours and your airline’s check-in deadline, allowing for transfers, baggage, and queues.
What to add to train journey times
Landing → immigration and baggage → airport station → waiting and riding → transfer walk → walk from Longshan Temple station → worship. A rail journey estimate is only part of this sequence. A1’s 10–15 minutes is an operator estimate for typical walking conditions; add allowance for luggage, crowds and lifts.
- Daytime arrival, including the interpretation desk
- Arrange luggage storage and allow time for drawing a fortune and consulting the desk before its 19:00 closing. Avoid planning to arrive just before it closes.
- Evening worship, followed by food
- Set your worship and desk plans first, then choose a nearby shop or the Wanhua night markets. A market elsewhere in Taipei adds travel; consider it when you have energy and a clear route back.
- Late arrival or bulky luggage
- Compare going to your accommodation first. If temple closing or the last train is close, move worship to the next day.
03 / Traveling with luggage

Use the airport’s official taxi queue and show the Chinese destination below. Travel time depends on traffic; confirm fare arrangements and any highway charges before boarding. Consider leaving luggage at your accommodation before visiting.
