Fortune No.56
Poem (The Oracle's Verse)
澗小石粗流水響,力勞撐駕恐損傷,路須指出前江去,風靜潮平盡不妨
The water flow is echoing, and if you use too much force to maneuver the boat, you may damage it. The path should be pointed out to the river in front of you. If the wind is calm and the tide is level, there is little hindrance.

Interpretation (Meaning of the Oracle)
澗水灘多,掌船勞力,指出前江,風帆順得。此籤澗水行船之象,凡事先難後易。
This lot is an elephant of "let the boat go by Kansui (澗水で船を行かせる)", which means that all things are difficult first, easy later, and finally good luck. The valley is small, with many rapids and seas, and it takes a lot of effort to maneuver the boat. You row and maneuver with all your might, but there is a risk of damage. In the beginning, you will have to work hard, but without success. However, once you have shown the way and sailed out to the river in front of you, the wind will naturally die down and the waves will become calm, and the time will come when the wind will be favorable. You must further cultivate yourselves, accumulate good deeds, and make offerings. When the mind of heaven is attuned, you will surely reach a higher level. If you point the way out to the river in front of you, the wind and sails will be in order.

Explanation
[Summary] If you achieve success, retire. You can be free by letting go of attachments and letting go in a timely manner.
This lot has the meaning of "having succeeded and retreating. It admonishes the parties involved to know when the time is right and to settle where the prospects are good. Before success in anything, there is hard work and struggle, and it can only be achieved after a great deal of effort and dedication. However, the most difficult test is how to "see it through to completion" after the task has been accomplished. There are no fixed standards for everything, and nothing can be predicted or controlled. When something comes, face it, work hard to do it, and when it is over, let it go. Do not leave behind many attachments. Attachment creates further clinging and becomes a heavy burden that cannot be discarded. We must not limit ourselves to a certain place, and we must break free of our fetters in a timely manner to be free. Everything follows its own destiny.
Practical Advice for Modern Life
Fan Li sailing away on the five lakes teaches that letting go after success protects fortune. Review whether you cling to a finished role, inert relationship, or mature project. Choosing the grace of withdrawal invites new freedom.
Recommended Deity & Prayer Advice
Pray to Guanyin Bodhisattva for a heart that releases attachment and moves on peacefully. Ask to trust the virtue that remains after letting go rather than fear loss.
